Summer Look Book 2024

Here’s a collection of photos from the internet that will be my inspiration for summer looks!

—> I’ve been loving my classic crew neck sweatshirts that I added to my wardrobe this past spring. They’re really handy for cool summer evenings too! I like the look of them tied around the shoulders when you don’t want to wear them – they become an accessory!

—–> I would like to add more mini-skirts to my collection. I have one plaid skirt that I’ve been wearing but it would be nice to get some in different prints, like a flowy, floral skirt. I think they’re so cute when paired with sneakers and a light cardigan.

—–> I’m realizing that not just ANY cardigan works, it has to be the right length and fit for the look. Sometimes you need a slim, fitted cardigan, and sometimes you want more of an oversized, baggy cardigan. So I would like to diversify my cardigan selection – especially since they’re already so versatile – having different shapes would add so many more options! Plus, it would be fun to find some more whimsical cardigans, like a striped pattern or embroidered with flowers.

——> For denim shorts I prefer a higher, narrower waist, with plenty of coverage. Skin tight and super short just doesn’t do it for me and I have since eliminated all such nonsense from my wardrobe. I’ve also been into more casual, athleisure style shorts. They look great when paired with a bigger, button down shirt.

——> Nothing beats a breezy, light sundress in the summer. I love wearing dresses in the heat, I instantly feel cooler. I prefer when they hit above the knee and no sleeves. Does anybody know the name for these style of dresses, with a v-neck and a high waist? I think they’re so flattering and feel very vintage.

So, to summarize, essentially I’m trying to turn myself into a 90s rom-com character!
